Koios is pronounced KOY-oss. The name comes from the Greek Titan associated with intellect, inquiry, and the questioning mind.
The name was intentional. Our founders first met more than 25 years ago at Janus Mutual Funds, another investment organization whose name drew from Greek mythology. When forming Koios, we wanted a name that reflected our shared history and the discipline we believe investment management requires: asking better questions, challenging assumptions, studying evidence, and applying judgment with care.
No. We aim to make our process clear and manageable, and we adjust our communication style to match each client’s comfort and interest level.
We operate on a transparent, fee-only model. As fiduciaries, we are legally and ethically obligated to act in our clients’ best interest.
Yes. We collaborate with clients’ professional teams and can also introduce specialists from our network where appropriate.
