Daniel leads global investment strategy, research process, and proprietary model development. He is a globally recognized thought leader, trusted advisor, and a Professor of Practice in the field of economics at the Colorado School of Mines. Prior to co-founding Koios, has worked as CIO of Stategy Capital, Macroeconomist at Putnam Investments, Senior Economic Advisor to former Governor of Colorado, and founder of SmartMacro Labs, a boutique economic advisory firm. Daniel has advised central banks, investment management firms, and NGOs such as the International Monetary Fund in the areas of macroeconomic forecasting, portfolio construction, and modeling FX, interest rate, and commodity markets.
